It is no secret that I’ve been working hard to pack up prep for our move at the Sampson household. Let’s back up to November of last year when Milton and I got married. We bought our first home later that month, then moved from our one-bedroom apartment to this house in February, then I started a new job in May. Just a couple of weeks ago Milton accepted a new job which is now taking us to the Houston area. Talk about big changes! So recently I have been packing up this three-bedroom house to move back into a one bedroom apartment. To say the least, this girl needs a little R & R. Cue the L’Occitane Peony Collection Purifying Minute Mask.

L’Occitane could not have had better timing in sending me products from their new Peony Collection. As if I needed one more reason to love peonies!

This past Sunday I took a break from cramming things into boxes and made time to pamper myself. As far as my skin goes, it is average in most aspects. Not too oily, but not too dry. I break out here and there, but it stays clear for the most part. It had been a while since I did a mask, so this facial sesh was overdue.

Why I chose the Purifying Minute Mask: This mask is designed to minimize pores (AMEN) and leave your face with a matte finish in just three minutes. Plus, it smells ah-mazing. The mask absorbs excess sebum (an oily substance our skin naturally produces as a self-defense mechanism, however, too much can cause breakouts). Don’t let me fool you…I did a little research before writing that sentence. The pores on my chin and forehead tend to get clogged the most, so I made sure to be diligent in applying the mask in these areas.

Once I applied the mask, which was super easy btw, I felt like the next three minutes passed way too fast! Pro tip: have your glass of wine ready before applying the mask to reach maximum relaxation. Some masks can be challenging to wipe off, but this one wiped clean with ease.

Have you tried any of the L’Occitane Masks before? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Share in the comments.
