What’s In My Purse

If anyone can fill up a purse, a Ewing/Blasingame woman can!  My mom, Gran, and myself practically carry satchels as purses.  When I first started carrying purses in junior high I liked the little bitty shoulder bags because I hated all of the massive purses my mom carried.  Well here I am 13 years later carrying bags just as big.

Today I want to share with you some of the things I carry every day!  This includes some of my favorite products, quick-fix beauty products, and some other random items.  I’m all about babes supporting babes, so if there’s something I carry in my bag that might help you out that is great!

Right now I am carrying this Kate Spade purse.  At first I didn’t like it because I was used to a floppier bag that fell open when I took a strap off of my shoulder.  What I have always loved about this bag is how professional it looks, but it is still a fun and flirty color.  Before this bag I was carrying the Axis St. Anne tote from Barrington Gifts.  Hands down…this has been my favorite bag of all time.  I’ve carried the tar out of it, so it is no surprise that some of the inside pockets have come a little unsewn.  I’ll be ordering the same style bag in a new print soon I’m sure!

Ok now for the details. Here’s what you’ll find in my bag…

Clippers

I think one of the worst things in the world is finding yourself with a hangnail and no clippers in sight to be able to take care of it.  If my nails aren’t done, which is most of the time these days, I am constantly picking at them.  Terrible habit, I know.  I always keep clippers in the side pocket of my purse.

Lipstick

At any given time I will have at least four lipstick options in my purse.  I have a bright/hot pink, a red, then a neutral, and my favorite deeper pink.  I’ve been using Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor recently.  It goes on so easy and lasts forever!  My favorite color is 655 HD Kisses.

EOS Lip Balm and Hand Lotion

Austin is typically a humid place, but my lips and hands still manage to get very dry.  I’ve been using EOS for a few years now and I find their products to be pretty effective.

Zipper Pouch for Coupons

I wouldn’t call myself a couponer, but I love to save a dollar here and there at the grocery store.  I shop at HEB and they give coupons for products you buy most often with your receipt.  My coupons are typically for contact solution or pet products.  I like to keep these in a little zipper pouch in my purse so I’ll remember to use them the next time I’m at the store.  If I leave them loose in my purse they’ll end up crumbled and in the trash!

Matches

We’re all human here, so yeah, I keep matches in my purse.  Sometimes restaurants will have matches at the hostess stand.  I’ll grab

at least three, haha!  Another option would be Poo Pourri, but these matches were free and get the job done.

Extra Fem Products

Most purses have a sleek zipper pocket on one side.  I will always have at least two tampons and two pads in this pocket.  You never want to be caught without these.  I also like to be the hero in the bathroom when a gal pal is in need.  I also keep extras in most of my overnight bags, and they stay in there 100% of the time.  My mom taught me to do this a long time ago and I am very thankful.
