One surefire way to send an outfit over the edge: a bold bag! I received this lovely red handbag from Dooney & Bourke at the beginning of the summer, and needless to say, I am in love. At first, I was a little hesitant about the red. It is not a color I’m typically drawn to. I styled the bag with all white because I felt like it needed to be the focal point of my outfit. Now I am carrying this bag every day! Dooney also has a lot of bags in blush, which is my current color crush. Blush is the perfect neutral for summer! So you might be seeing me carrying a bag in that hue soon. In the mean time, I’m sharing my favorite bold bags and a few I have my eye on this season.
I’ve said it before, but shit really does happen and then you turn into your mother. We call my mom the bag lady, and I am not far behind her. Bags are a true love of mine, especially a bag that makes a statement.
I started carrying a purse in seventh grade, and it didn’t take me long to form a big collection. My first purse was a little denim Lucky Brand purse (because small purses were the thing then). It was the perfect little bag to carry through the halls of my junior high school. I had a few rhinestone covered bags, and then I got my first Dooney & Bourke (pic below!).
Now…the bigger the better! I’m a busy girl that requires a lot of stuff, so I love a bag that can fit it all! Especially when I’m toting my Nikon around. You never know when the opportunity for the perfect shot will arise!
