Coffee With Cait No. 1

I’ve been thinking about starting a series like this for quite a while. If you know me, you know I like to talk. I want to give myself a chance to ramble and get my thoughts out without having to stick to one topic or theme for a single blog post. Traditionally I’d blog about things like Caroline’s sleep schedule, or how I clean out my closet, but that doesn’t allow me to talk about random things like why I bought a new phone case or how many times I went to Walmart this week. So I’m keeping it vague with the title “Coffee With Cait” and I’m going to write about whatever I feel like. This may not strike much interest, but I’m honestly doing this for myself more than anyone else. So this is me typing away while I enjoy my morning coffee.

We Moved

First off, we moved. I really didn’t post about this much on my Instagram just because we wanted to wait until everything went through. By the time everything was final and we started moving I think I was too busy to even think about sharing it. We absolutely love our new home. We are still in Galveston! Our new place is literally 0.9 miles from where we were previously living. It doesn’t matter how far you move, you still have to put all of your crap in boxes to get it out of one place and into another. I spent a lot of time packing, and now a lot of time unpacking. We are now in the same neighborhood as Milton’s parents. The house backs up to the water, and we love to sit on the back porch and watch for boat traffic.

Caroline

My baby is six months old and I don’t really know when that happened or where the time went. We have some friends here in Galveston with baby girls as well. One is just over two months, and another is three weeks. They are so tiny next to Caroline. You hear a lot of people/women say that babies grow so fast and that they miss the newborn stage. Well…they grow so fast and I really miss the newborn stage. She has been awesome at every stage though. Of course, I am biased and I’m always going to think that about my own baby.

I shared her six month update on Monday, but since I wrote that post she started crawling! She amazes me every day.

Loopy Case

Y’all, my popsocket failed me. It kept falling off of my phone and I just couldn’t handle the unpredictability of it anymore. I got a loopy case and I’m pretty into it. I don’t typically like to spend more than $20 on a phone case, but this is like a phone case and popsocket all in one for about $40. It is super cute, too.
