There is one color you have probably seen on all the gals on insta, and all over the stores this fall. Fall’s favorite color this year is rust.
Top: Nordstrom | Maternity Jeans: Ingrid & Isabel | Bag: Dooney & Bourke | Booties: Lucky Brand, similar, similar | Earrings: Kendra Scott | Bracelets: Baublebar, ? | Monogram Necklace: Baublebar
Let’s be honest with ourselves real quick, rust is just another (lame) word for burnt orange. All my Longhorn ladies rejoice. Shopping for game day has never been easier. I’ve been stocking up on all things burnt orange for years now, and the color only seems to get more popular each fall season.
I’m excited to share this top because I finally made a point to put it on and take some photos in it rather than just a simple flat lay. The fit is very oversized, which is perfect for this growing baby bump of mine. I’m wearing a size small. The neckline is rather plunging, so I got a small piece of double-stick tape to make it a hair more modest.
I styled the top with a pair of maternity jeans. Yes, I finally caved and ordered some stinking maternity jeans. My jeans were fitting fine in the legs and with a rubber band at the button for an extended waistline, but I wanted to be able to give some of my tops the front tuck. These were a bit of a splurge, but seem to be worth it so far. Technically this is a pair of jeggings, and are super tight in the legs. The first time I tried them on I wasn’t sure if they were going to work, but the second time around they seemed to loosen up a tad. I’m loving them so far.
These booties are Lucky Brand from quite a few years back. When I get my hands on a timeless pair of shoes I take good care of them and keep them in my closet. I’ve linked some similar pairs above.
