This new blog series that I’m about to start is long overdue, y’all! I felt like I needed to do lots of research leading up to it though…Say hello to my Galveston Travel Guide Series.

I like to say that I am Galveston local by marriage, and I feel like I can get away with that because Milton is BOI (born on the island). Milton says that everyone is BIO though: born on the island, or born off the island. Anyway, around here people know what you mean by BIO and it is a big deal. I’m pretty sure Milton moved me down here as soon as he did so his kids would be BIO too. As long as they’re born in Texas I’ll be happy.

I also thought this was a great excuse to share this tropical print dress that I shot with Amy Macke from Full Sail Photography. We shot this dress in Beachtown, located on the east end of Galveston Island, where you will find the dreamiest beach homes. Amy and I had so much fun shooting together that we will definitely be working together in the future! So keep an eye out for her!
