Milton and I were very fortunate to be able to spend four days with my parents in my home town. For those of you that don’t know, I’m from a small town outside of Fort Worth, Azle, TX, which is about five hours away from Galveston. It is not very often that we have the opportunity to spend that many days in a row with my family, so we felt very fortunate this Christmas!
On Christmas Eve Eve we spent the day making our rounds seeing family and eating our body weight in Mexican food and pie (no complaints here). We spent Christmas Eve around the house. Milton and my dad got my baby crib out of the barn to scrub down so we could bring it back to Galveston. I cannot believe we are already in the single digit countdown (of weeks, that is). As of today I am 30 weeks and 3 days! Baby’s room is really starting to come together. I have a few showers coming up in January and that room is going to fill up quick.
As you probably know, the day after Christmas is a big day for sales! It is also my mom’s birthday!!! Happy Birthday, Mom. I love you so much. I cannot wait to be a mommy to my little girl and give her the world just like you did for me. No one knows how to mom like you. I know you’re reading this because you are going to send me a few grammatical edits within approximately an hour of posting (which is greatly appreciated).
