TULA Skincare Review

TULA Skincare is all over social media, and I have to be honest…I was #influenced. It’s hard to know if a product is actually as good as people say it is when they’re getting paid to post about it. TULA has been part of my routine for about six months so I feel that I’ve been able to form a solid (unbiased) opinion on the few products I own.

Purifying Face Cleanser

I have really been enjoying this face cleanser. I started using this cleanser along with the rest of the “Summer State of Mind Kit”, and it is my favorite product in the kit. It only takes about a dime size bit of cleanser. It doesn’t foam up a lot, which I prefer. As I’ve mentioned before, I have very mild skin. I only break out around that time of month or if I am really stressed, and even then it is just a pimple or two. This is a big bottle and has lasted me at least five months so far and I’m not close to finishing it. I would definitely purchase this item again.

Aqua Infusion Oil-Free Gel Cream

This is the moisturizer that came with the kit. The instructions say to use three pumps of this stuff twice a day. I used it once at night before going to bed. I ran out of it about a month ago. It seemed to go quickly, and I wasn’t even using it as much as they directed. It feels great upon application, but about half an hour after applying it my face would almost feel dry again and I would question if I remembered to put it on or not. Galveston is a very humid place, so you would think my skin would not get very dry, but my face still does! I did not think this was a very effective moisturizer. I will not be purchasing it again. I’m sticking with my Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair cream.

So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub

I love a good face scrub. I tend to get plenty of blackheads around my nose and chin, and my forehead dries out easily. Scrubs help me keep my skin more even. I like to use a scrub twice a week, or three times a week if I need some extra exfoliation. This is going to sound weird, but this scrub kind of tastes good if you get a little in your mouth (it is a sugar scrub after all, haha). However, the actual “scrub” seems to dissolves within FIFTEEN SECONDS of using it on your face. No joke. This is the quickest dissolving scrub ever. Yes, that’s great for the fish and the rest of the environment. I need a little more scrubbing than that though. Will not purchase this again.

Major Glow Cooling and Brightening Hydrogel Mask

TBD. I’m weird about nice face masks. I want to save them for a special occasion (ex: before a big event), and then I end up just forgetting about them. I’ve been meaning to use this one but it keeps slipping my mind. I plan on using it this week and updating this part asap!

Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm

I now use this instead of highlighter when I’m doing my makeup. I. Love. It. The name says exactly what it does: cools and brightens your eye. This is a good product to keep in your bag for a quick refresh in the middle of the day.
