I like the term “lifestyle blogger” because it is all-encompassing. I can talk about all kinds of topics like shopping, nutrition, and exercising without committing to just one. Beauty (mainly makeup) though… I’m never going to claim to any kind of extensive knowledge on that! That’s what other blogs are for!

I grew up dancing, and started at a pretty young age. My mom did my stage makeup from the beginning. You’d think I would’ve learned a few tricks throughout the years from that, but nope. I played with makeup quite a bit in high school, but I could never quite accomplish the smokey eye when that became a thing. In college, haha let’s be real…minimal makeup required. Enter young-adulthood and I still don’t have a clue what I’m doing. Thank goodness makeup tutorials exist! I currently have two makeup tutorials that I constantly revisit (because I forget things), and I’m sharing them with you today!

The first is a tutorial from Jessie James Decker. I have the biggest girl crush on her, y’all! She’s like the hottest mom ever, she loves to cook, and she’s obsessed with her man (I mean, have you seen Eric Decker?).  This tutorial is a few years old, but I still use it.

My other favorite makeup tutorial is by Britany Marshall on her blog Britany Marshall Beauty. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably noticed that Britany does my hair. She is amazing. Some may say I’m biased…yes, we’ve been friends since grade school. But, this girl’s got talent! Britany did my makeup (and hair) for my bridal shoot and I could not have been happier with the way the photos turned out. See my bridal look here. Naturally, I go to her blog for my everyday makeup look. Her blog is full of hair and makeup tutorials that are very achievable. And yes, her eyelashes are real. lol
