I’m sure deodorant is exactly what you were wanting to read about today. I have been on a quest to find an effective aluminum free deodorant for a few years now. When Dove announced they were coming out with a 0% aluminum deodorant I was excited. Yes, excited about the release of a new deodorant. This is where I’m at in my life now.
When I bought it (at Target, of course) I shared it on my Instagram stories and a surprising amount of people replied wanting to know if it was any good or not. I know a lot of blog posts go down like this…
No one:
Literally no one:
Blogger: “A lot of you have been asking about my…”
So I’m hoping this isn’t totally the case with this deodorant review, lol.
I like this deodorant, a lot.
Yep, this is my new deodorant. I have used Dove deodorant for as long as I can remember…except for that one time I tried Native natural deodorant and I smelled like poo after 8 hours of wearing it. I just like Dove products so I had a feeling this 0% stuff was going to be decent. I use Dove bar soap, Dove dry shampoo, and Dove hairspray #loyal. Oh, and it is half the price of Native. I did a post about Native here.
I like the way it smells. I bought the pomegranate and lemon verbena, but it does come in four other scents. I like the way it goes on! This deodorant is more gel-like than an antiperspirant. It goes on super smooth, and it doesn’t leave white marks on my clothes.
24-hour odor protection means 24-hour odor protection. If you forget to put it on in the morning your pits will stink. There have been times that I have taken a shower the night before and forgotten to apply it in the am…by 11 am I do a pit check (I know I’m not the only one) and those babies smell.
On the other end of the spectrum, I think it works really well. I put it on this morning. As I type this it is 9:30 pm. Today I was pretty active: vacuum and swiffer, chased Caroline, went on a 2 mile jog outside, cleaned some more and made dinner. I just did a pit check and THEY DON’T STINK.
So if you’re looking for an aluminum free deodorant but you’re not interested in the super natural/crunchy brands, try this!
This post is 100% my opinion and is in no way affiliated with Dove, but if Dove sees this and wants to send me some free deo for my BO I’d be okay with it.
