The weather is starting to cool off, kind of, and I’m day dreaming about new fall staples for my closet. I also think all this rain just makes me want to go on an online shopping spree. I’ve got a pretty solid fall shopping cart just waiting for me to click “Checkout”.
Nordstrom has Triple Points Days coming up, so I’ve been browsing and saving items that I (think) I need for cooler weather. One thing that I know I need, rain boots. It is hurricane season and the rain is no joke here in Galveston. I’ve even had to miss work because the streets surrounding my house were flooded (cue KUWTK marathon). I have some super cute red boots from J. Crew that I wore in college, but there’s a zipper on the back of the boot that is not exactly functional. If I go in water more than 3 inches deep my boots fill up with water. It is time to finally treat myself to some Hunter rain boots…cuz I’ve been saving.
I’m also planning ahead and purchasing some much needed maternity wear. I can still fit into my jeans with a rubber band to extend the waist, but I need a solid pair of leggings to pair with a long blouse to wear to work. Comfort is key.
