While it is nothing groundbreaking or out of the ordinary, I’m sharing my bedtime routine with you today. My routine consists of a mix of products that I have been using forever (= failproof) and a few things that I have recently added to my repertoire.

Body Lotion
I apply body lotion from head to toe every time I get out of the shower, and I mostly shower in the evening before bed. I started doing this in high school…because I was a bad girl and started tanning in tanning beds (we all make mistakes). It became a habit, and a very good one at that. I have been using Queen Helene Cocoa Butter for a few reasons: 1. It is super affordable and the bottle is huge; 2. I love the consistency and smell; 3. My skin responds extremely well to it! This bottle is less than $3 for 32 ounces and can be found at most grocery and drug stores. Texas ladies, HEB sells this bottle for $1.97.
Dry Shampoo
On the nights that I do not wash my hair I apply dry shampoo to my roots before bed. I learned this life changing trick from a coworker while on a work trip and I swear by it now! I typically use Dove Dry Shampoo, but I’ve recently started using Aveda Shampure when I need a little more power. See my post about which hair products I can’t live without here.
Night Cream
Let’s be real for a second…I’m terrified of wrinkles. I know I am only in my mid-twenties, but why not be proactive and kick the wrinkles before they start (except I def have laugh lines on my forehead). A few years ago I really wanted to try a good night cream but I didn’t want to break the bank. I had a Birchbox subscription, which I loved and would def recommend, and had some credit to purchase a full-size product. This Derma E Evening Radiant Night Cream is what I chose. I like it, for the most part, but it is so hydrating that I use it every other night. If I use it too often I start to break out a little bit.
Lavender Oil
I am envious of any person that falls asleep within seconds of their head hitting the pillow. For most of my life I have never been that person. I’ve been dying to try essential oils, especially lavender oil, before bed, but I never remember to buy any when I am out shopping. When Cait and Co reached out to me to try some of their products I knew exactly what I would be requesting! Cait and Co is the umbrella company over the handmade product lines Revive Bath + Body, Urban Wick, and Luxe Apothecary. Number one on my list is there Good Night Essential Oil Roll On from the Luxe Apothecary line. I’ve been using it for about a week now and I’m in love. I apply it behind my ears, temple, and other pulse points right before I crawl into bed. Talk about ultimate relaxation! I also received this gorgeous hand poured candle from their line Urban Wick.
