Working out is my jam! It kicks stress in the butt and it allows me to indulge in a glass (or three) of champagne on the weekends. My FitBit is a total motivator. I bought my first device, the FitBit One, back in 2014 and used it for about a year and a half. My fiancé, now husband, went on vacation so I decided not to bring it along because I didn’t want to lose it. Well…I ended up not putting it back on for another 12 months and let it die. Last month I decided to jump back on the FitBit train with the new FitBit Flex 2, and I love it. It’s super sleek and has revamped my motivation.

Why You Should Invest In a Fitness Tracker

  • Get out of an exercising rut! Checking my tracker is a constant reminder of my fitness goals. I have found myself trying new ways to reach my step count each day.
  • I sit at a desk during 50% of my day. I have a reminder set on my FitBit to buzz once an hour to remind me to move.
  • Healthy competition is always good. You can add friends on the FitBit App and participate in challenges.
  • It tracks your sleep! Last night I slept for over 8 hours, but I was “Restles” 9 times…which I blame on the few glasses of wine I had with dinner.
  • Real talk: My weight is way more consistent when I am wearing my tracker. This is likely a result of all of the things I have mentioned above.

So if you’re on the fence about getting a fitness tracker, especially a FitBit, I say DO IT. Pro Tip: I got mine from Bed Bath & Beyond and used my 20% off coupon. Don’t get their coupons? Head to their website and sign up for emails and/or text alerts.
